Team/Function Overview

Citi's Legal Department in Belfast is a team of approximately 170 staff, covering a range of products and services across Citi's Europe Middle East and Africa region (known as "EMEA").

The Belfast Legal Department provides a range of services, support and adviceto many business areas with a particular focus on Citi's Institutional Client Group; incorporating transaction negotiation, master agreement negotiation, and oversight of compliance and regulatory requirements.


Role / Position Overview
The Legal Reviewer is a developing professional role.

The role will involve close liaison with internal legal team in connection with the review of legal agreements in the relevant business area and accurately reporting extracted clauses.

It may also involveassisting the team with basic negotiations of Amendment Agreements and associated administrative work with respect to execution and storage of Agreements.

A good understanding is required of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectivesof the area. Limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided. Impact of the job holder is restricted to own team.

Development Value

Knowledge/Experience:


  • New graduate/entry level relevant experience in administration and/or legal review
  • Experience working in corporate legal department, law firm, financial services, consulting, technology firm or related industry preferred but not essential
  • Knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry

Skills:


  • Must have effective organizational skills, attention to detail, exceptional verbal communication and listening skills
  • Good ability with Microsoft Excel

Qualifications:


  • New degree level graduate or entry level relevant experience
