Overview:
The Security Industry Authority (SIA) is an executive non-departmental public body, sponsored by the Home Office, with a purposeful mission of reducing and preventing crime through the regulation of the private security industry, under the terms of the Private Security Industry Act 2001.
The impact SIA has is significant and wide-reaching from providing counter-terrorism training to security staff and conducting routine checks at festivals to identifying unlicensed security personnel in addition to supporting efforts to combat child exploitation and violence against vulnerable individuals.
Through close collaboration with agencies like police forces and local authorities, the SIA uphold regulatory standards and ensure the public's safety and peace of mind.
About the Role:
Digital Transformation Lead
The SIA is on an exciting and ambitious customer-centric journey and are now seeking a Digital Transformation Lead to spearhead their data and digital strategy, driving the transformation of services and enhancing technology offerings.
As the Digital Transformation Lead, you will be responsible for the effective delivery of the SIA's Data and Digital strategy , which will extend into supporting the design and development of the new strategy, alongside the CIO.
As part of this vibrant and committed Senior Leadership Team, this influential and forward-thinking role will shadow (and where necessary deputise for) the CIO, taking accountability for the oversight, governance, and assurance on all delivery aspects of strategic data and digital projects associated with the wider business strategy.
You will bring forth the best of your leadership and collaboration skills - managing, influencing and integrating third party suppliers, working with a wide range of internal and external key stakeholders whilst fostering an environment of continuous improvement and innovation whilst inspiring and supporting your direct report of Head of ICT operations and broader internal team of 15 professionals.

Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Transformation Lead and will be responsible for all digital outcomes under the Transformation Programme.
- Accountable for the daytoday delivery of the Digital Transformation agenda. To work, shadow and where possible deputise for the CIO to deliver the SIA's vision for technology.
- Direct line management of Head of ICT Operations who is in turn responsible for management of 15 technologists.
- Ensure alignment with strategy for all aspects of ICT services.
- Accountable for assuring complex change priorities such as networks, integrations, upgrades, cyber and other technology development programmes.
- Budgetary oversight for all digital transformation programme spends up to £20m
- Manage third party providers deployed to undertake such transitional activity
- Establish and maintain excellent relationships with senior users, suppliers, and stakeholders (including service users)
Key Criteria
- Demonstrate a track record of transforming digital services, delivering technology improvement programs with quantifiable benefits.
- Proven leadership of nurturing and developing teams
- Showcase direct experience in cost control and financial accountability for major change programs, ensuring resource optimisation.
- Possess expertise in driving digital change through loosely coupled architecture and cloudbased services, in line with best practices.
- Familiarity with government digital strategies and change agendas, enabling you to identify root causes of failure and facilitate collaborative working for continuous improvement.
