Duties and responsibilities:

As an International Relations Officer (Asia), you will be a part of Imperial's International Relations Office (IRO)


Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of academic partnership strategies in science, research, innovation, and education;
  • Developing regional briefings on the research, education and innovation landscape;
  • Coordinating the delivery of a busy programme of international visits, meetings and events.

Essential requirements:


  • Proven ability to work successfully and positively with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, from varying backgrounds and at varying levels of seniority
  • Experience in event management, ideally gained within the higher education or the notforprofit sectors
  • Welldeveloped understanding of the ethos of an academic institution and the priorities of academic staff, or a demonstrable ability to understand the working environment very quickly
  • Collaborative and able to build and sustain effective working relationships

Further information:

This role is full-time and fixed-term for 6 months. This position is based at Imperial's South Kensington Campus.

  • Hybrid working may be considered for this role. Staff working in roles that are suitable for hybrid working will normally be expected to work 60% of their time onsite. The opportunity for hybrid working will be discussed at interview._
