The position offers a salary up to £34,000 DOE.


Ian Mosey (Feed) Ltd, is a reputable family owned and operated business manufacturing and supplying animal feed across the North of England.


The Role:

We are recruiting an experienced Transport Planner to join the team, based at Blackdale Mill, Hovingham, north of York.


You will be responsible for planning and organising resources, circa 25 LGV vehicles and 35 drivers to deliver animal feed to internal and external customers across the North of England.


Allocating loads to drivers and ensuring load plans and routes are understood whilst working closely with cross functional teams to ensure that finished products are delivered in a cost-effective way, that optimises resources and meets the required standards of all relevant transport compliance and legislation.


The Person:


  • Excellent understanding and working knowledge of transport industry compliance, including Operator Licence requirements
  • Excellent time management, results orientated and organised


  • Proven IT competence

  • Excel, Outlook, fleet tracking system
  • Sound route planning knowledge and experience minimum 3 years, specifically the North of England and multi drops
  • Educated to A Level or equivalent
  • Good understanding of management practices and techniques
  • Operator Licence Awareness Training (OLAT)
  • Knowledge of the farming industry / pig farming
  • Previous experience of Samsara, Tachomaster and Checksafe.

The role is based 10 miles from Malton and is commutable from York, Malton, Thirsk, Helmsley, Pickering and other surrounding villages.

Due to the location, own transport is essential
