We are looking for a Technology Leader who can translate business needs into a technology roadmap and decide "how" the technology roadmap is delivered.

Delivering this while owning the technology strategy and expertise development for this area of practice.


In the Technology Lead role, you will oversee key decisions, including whether, short term benefits with long term technical debt, should be pursued over longer development lead time.

Additionally, you will be integral in the decision of technical tooling and carry out regular reviews of performance metrics. From a people-management perspective, you will oversee technical personnel, including management of technology vendors.

You will develop a close working relationship with the Business Portfolio Lead(s) to ensure alignment of technical resources and business priorities.

You will inform key stakeholders about the state and direction of the tech strategy adopted by Chapter Leads, Product Owners, and other stakeholders.

You will mentor the people around you and drive collaboration and knowledge sharing to benefit both your area program and the broader organization

The program you will lead technically is a GenAI initiative around transforming our Consulting Experience. You will partner with the program business lead to deliver the program outcomes.

You will be expected to understand the consulting journey maps, innovate on how technology can improve consulting productivity, rapidly prototype ideas and solutions and build teams to architect, design and operate these solutions in production.

This role will be focused heavily on harnessing the transformative capabilities and challenges of cutting-edge Generative Artificial Intelligence.


Among your responsibilities, you will:

  • In partnership with the Business Lead, deliver on the program's vision and outcomes
  • Assess current business needs and integrate them into the GenAI program strategy to ensure relevancy and effectiveness.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate emerging trends and advancements in GenAI to identify potential opportunities for BCG.
  • Oversee that all digital program teams and initiatives are delivering on the program ambition
  • Regularly assess the program's strategic approach and make necessary adjustments in response to changing business landscapes and GenAI innovation.
  • Foster collaboration between business and tech to align GenAI solutions with business strategies.
  • Share best practices for how processes are leveraged and how work is done
  • Establishing technological roadmaps and guardrails while regularly reviewing them to inform "how" platforms and processes work and are leveraged within Portfolio(s)
  • Helping in managing technological change by staying on top of relevant technical developments and innovations in your domain (both internally and externally), and proactively analysing the impact it will have to drive technological health
  • Sharing relevant insights and developments within area of expertise with all related development teams
  • Work extensively with your peers to identify and remove siloed thinking and execute opportunities to achieve scale via architectural reuse
  • Ensure adherence to firmwide technology standards, and adapting them to suit Portfolio's needs
  • Working with stakeholders across architecture, security, risk, and other COEs to ensure the Portfolio's adherence to relevant technology standards and guidelines
  • Taking a longterm lens on adherence to standards and tools, and utilizing them to help the Portfolio succeed
  • Coordinate and manage people, knowledge, and resources within your Program
  • Supporting and mentoring an organization of deep technical experts where knowledge is shared freely
  • Extensively coordinating with vendors and various other stakeholders both internally and externally, and monitor dependencies to create a cohesive tech strategy and demonstrate clear direction
