About the Role:


The key focus of this role is deliver support to UK Sea Freight Product supporting Sea Freight Senior Management with maintenance and distribution of cost pricing and efficient delivery of sales pricing to relevant stakeholders.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities will include:

  • Liaise with customers, other offices including overseas (internally and externally), agents, shipping lines and haulers.
  • To be the first point of contact and to action all incoming calls from all internal/external customers.
  • Respond to all internal/external customer enquiries promptly and professionally and escalate where necessary
  • Provide support and cover for the rest of the departments during absence periods as and when required
  • Liaise with stakeholders to formulate and provide Sea Freight quotes in timely manner
  • To provide and maintain and in depth understanding of the Sea Freight product including Incoterms
  • To demonstrate a high quality of excellent service
  • To analyse cbm and w/m variances whilst demonstrating a high level of attention to detail.
  • To ensure you have knowledge of exchange rates and maintain your knowledge daily to ensure this is up to date.
  • Any other reasonable tasks as designated by your immediate line manager.
  • Adheres fully to the companies Quality Management Systems/Standard Operating Procedures/Company Policies/Procedures (Company Handbooks) at all times.

About you:


Essential:


  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Freight forwarding industry
  • Knowledge of Incoterms
  • Excellent written and communications skills.
  • Team player.
  • Competent in IT skills such as Microsoft suite
  • Excellent timekeeping

Desirable:


  • CIPS level 3 accredited or above
  • Additional Language(s)
  • Pricing/ Procurement experience
  • Network Forwarding experience
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload. Work in a consistent methodical manner when required
  • Precision and accuracy
