Overview:

Element has an opportunity for a new

Warehouse Assistant Operative to join our busy laboratory in Strathaven. This is a fast-paced, manual and active role, working where full training will be provided for our new colleague.


Responsibilities:


  • To assist in receiving goods inwards, check and inspect goods received ensuring they are of accurate quantity, type and acceptable quality and matching the relevant paperwork
  • To assist other workers in loading and unloading goods
  • To accurately pick, pack and label orders to be despatched to customer matching all relevant paperwork
  • To assist with accurately logging of goods inwards and dispatched onto the computer stock management system
  • To carry out regular stock takes and quality control
  • Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment
  • Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods
  • To contribute actively as a member of the warehouse staff team, working towards developing and improving our services and operations
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties consistent with the role as requested by Supervisors and Management

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Excellent team player
  • Personable with good customer service and communication skills
  • Good levels of Maths and English
  • Willing to perform a variety of duties within the warehouse and office
  • Have good IT skills or a willingness to learn
  • Able to lift and carry stock. Heavy lifting will be required after the relevant training has been complete
  • Be punctual, have a responsible attitude and work to tight deadlines
  • Selfmotivated with a cando attitude
