We have an immediate need for a Buyer that will provide regional support within their allocated plant(s) and is the first point of contact both internally to the plant and externally to all stakeholders.

The Buyer will collaborate within the plant with the Manufacturing, R&D, Quality and Supply Chain functions to align the operating plans of the plants to all sourcing activities.

The Buyer will:

While reporting to the Global Procurement Manager(GPM), work closely with Plant Management Teams to help create and implement sourcing strategies in line with the plant operating plans.

They will achieve this by:

Facilitation of plant hoppering and best practice session
Coordination of delivery of all sourcing projects
Resolve and communicate supplier management issues, escalating as appropriate to ensure continuity of supply at all times within relevant plant value streams
Support YearoverYear cost savings and lead projects
Coordinate efforts within the plant(s) to support key sourcing initiatives that have a high value and broad implication to the corporation
Support internal clients across all plant activities to ensure compliance to all sourcing policies and guidelines
As directed by GPM, coordinate supplier performance improvement initiatives in areas such as technology, quality, responsiveness, delivery and cost (TQRDC
Identify major categories through analysis of current spend
Utilise strategic sourcing processes
Identify new potential suppliers
Manage respective supplier relationships
Develop expertise in assigned categories through external research and analysis
Provide market intelligence
Implementation of appropriate procedures

Responsibilities:

Manage Supplier related complaints (SCAR) support and escalation
Escalation point for supply issues and communication and further escalation to key stakeholders (Plant, Sourcing, Quality etc.)
Support plant KPI's (VCI, SOTIF, Payment terms etc.)
Lead, execute, coordinate and support crossfunctional projects as assigned
Manage as PSO for plant related suppliers as allocated by the category teams
TQRDC coordinator for the assigned plants
Active supply chain risk management
Leads and contributes to plant hoppering sessions and best practice sessions
Support fulfilment of business specific needs, e.g. audit requirements
