Role Summary & Description
Overseeing the day-to-day set design and styling of the team's photography for both online and print outputs.

In this role you will be responsible for artistic direction of all brief's and creating a look and feel which is synonymous with ProCook's brand identity.

This includes collaborating on outstanding photographic projects to aid the delivery of new product lines and campaign material.


Key areas of responsibility:

  • Content Creation_
  • Ideation and creative development of all briefs in advance of multichannel execution. Translating the information supplied into moodboard's, sketches and contemporary visual references which give inspiration for original content, appealing to the marketed demographic.
  • Consistently reflect brand guidelines in your creative work producing content to match a provided brief and able to create in style, highlevel original content within deadlines.
  • Keep abreast with new ideas, trends and technologies within the field of media.
  • Ordering food/props and cooking recipes as required. Able to independently style shots that hero both the product and recipe simultaneously.
  • Provide handson assistance with all aspects of image creation and studio maintenance, including clean surfaces and products before shooting and then pack down sets always keeping studio tidy.
  • Operational Aspects_
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure smooth and timely workflow.
  • Prioritize workload according to importance and urgency. Making sure work is executed to deadlines.
  • Work collaboratively with the Production Assistant ensuring brief templates are fully fit for purpose, communicating the style required for a successful job completion.
  • Manage the ordering of necessary investment for content creation. Communicating with suppliers and creating purchase orders preapproved by the Brand Director.
  • Working closely with the photographer you are able to give constructive input to meet the expectations of the brand guidelines.
  • Planning Aspects_
  • Project planning the advancement of the studio and working with external agencies to facilitate this.
  • Estimating budget spending for prop sourcing, set design, backgrounds, surfaces and soft furnishing's ahead of the new financial year.
  • Be involved in the logistics and plan for studio and location shoots. You will direct the creative process with valuable input together with the Brand Director and Senior Photographer/Studio Manager.
  • Work closely with the Brand Director and Production Assistant to develop, checkin and deliver the execution of seasonal catalogues and campaigns. After project is concluded subsequently review and debrief campaign together with concerned teams.

Key Skills and experience

  • Aged 18+ (Handling of knives and cooking).
  • Full driving licence.
  • A commercial stylist with knowledge of product, lifestyle and editorial photography. Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of composition whilst possessing a creative eye for fresh and innovative set ups.
  • Must have a media qualification that includes 1 year of commercial studio experience. Or 3 years of commercial studio experience if you do not hold a media qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, InDesign and XD) and ability to retouch imagery.
  • Excellent IT Skills with strong knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong organisation skills, logical approach, and attention to detail.
  • Experience of working accurately and to a high standard whilst adhering to tight deadlines.
  • Working collaboratively with other inhouse departments and external suppliers/agencies.
  • Highly organised with exceptional time management and project management skills. Able to prioritise and balance immediate tasks with longer term objectives.
  • Proactive and can work well independently as well as in a team.
  • Keen interest in cooking would be beneficial.

Management & Leadership Skills
Cover duties and responsibilities of other members of the Photography team in their absence.
