GVC are working with a leading veterinary practice committed to providing the highest level of care to pets in the Greater Springfield area.

Their dedicated team of veterinarians and support staff are known for their expertise, compassion, and commitment to improving the lives of animals.

Position Overview


As a Senior Receptionist, you will be working directly with the Customer Care and Relationship Manager to provide support with overseeing the Customer Care team.

You will play a pivotal role in creating a positive first impression for the clients and ensuring their experience with the practice is seamless.


This permanent position is available 30 to 38 hours per week with shifts on a rotating roster Monday to Saturday between 7am and 8pm.

Your responsibilities will include:


  • Greeting and assisting clients with warmth and professionalism.
  • Managing appointment scheduling and reminders.
  • Processing payments and managing invoices.
  • Maintaining accurate client records and files.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks to support the efficient operation of the clinic.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior reception staff.

Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Proven experience in a receptionist or customer service role in a veterinary clinic or healthcare setting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
  • Compassion for animals and a genuine desire to provide excellent client service to their owners
  • Leadership skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
