This role will involve working from home combined with time in our Guildford or Bournemouth office one or two days per week.

Travel between the two offices may also be required.


Role Overview:

As an Information Security Consultant at Allianz, you will play a key part in Information and Cyber Security risk and threat assessments, working to keep Allianz safe and secure.

You will also have access to our training and development opportunities, and exposure to Allianz Group frameworks, expertise, and global opportunities.


This role will suit someone within Information Security who is a great communicator, with a pragmatic mind, and who is able to assess the objectives of a given initiative against security frameworks, policies, and standards to support the business through complex and challenging issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting into the Information Security Consultancy and Testing Principal, based in either Guildford or Bournemouth (travel between the two may be required), this role will:

  • Collaborate with project and business teams to complete threat and risk assessments for business change activities, and assist/take ownership of Information Security controls to be considered and applied within project requirements across hybrid cloud environments
  • Support the Senior Consultants (and take ownership where appropriate) in the provision of advice and recommendation on requirements, solution designs, test plans, and other artefacts to ensure they comply with Allianz security standards
  • Identify, document and manage risks through the Allianz Information Risk Management framework
  • Educate and guide business personnel on Information Security requirements and controls
  • Triage and manage business requests and queries, escalating to Senior/Principal Consultant where required
  • Work collaboratively with team members to identify areas for continual improvement and development.

Skills and Experience:


  • Selfdriven and capable to work with mínimal to no supervision on tasks and projects
  • Proven experience in conducting security risk and threat assessments, defining pragmatic and practical options for mitigation, and assessing compliance with control requirements
  • Demonstratable experience of reviewing technical architecture and design documentation, as well as designing security requirements and controls
  • Strong technical knowledge of IT systems across traditional onpremise infrastructure, cloud platforms (Azure and AWS), and SaaS
  • Ability to build and main relationships and influence key stakeholders, by acting as the interface between Information Security and the Business
  • Able to translate Information Security and IT risk language into business language, with excellent communication skills
  • Experience in an Agile delivery environment
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and decisionmaking skills
  • Good teamwork and time management skills.
