Job Title - SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary/Rate - £19,305 - £20,865/annum

Location - Middlesbrough

SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant
Leader Education is working in partnership with a School based in Middlesbrough.

We are recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist SEMH school, providing educational support to students aged between 11-19.

You will have previous experience of working with students with SEMH - social, emotional, and mental health issues (previously known as BESD, SEBD & EBD).

You will have excellent behaviour management skills as well as patience, empathy and understanding.

THE JOB:

You will be required to provide either one to one support or small group support to learners with SEMH
Social Emotional and Mental Health issues
To comply with individual learning plans
To take direction from the class teacher
Work 1:1 or in small group

YOU:

You must be an experienced classroom support assistant with a good level of experience of working with students with SEMH
Be patient and resilient
Be creative
Make learning fun
Excellent communication skills
Have a therapeutic and holistic approach
Team Teach trained would be advantageous, although training can be given.
