We are recruiting a Supporter Care Officer who will share our compassion and commitment for animal welfare to and will work closely with colleagues in Fundraising and Finance as part of a small and dedicated team supporting colleagues and supporters in London, the UK and abroad.

This is an essential position as you will be ensuring that our supporters receive excellent care in terms of written and verbal communication, thanking and banking and updates on how their support is helping vulnerable cats and dogs.

This position sits between the key functions of fundraising and finance ensuring that we have satisfied supporters enjoying the fundraising products you will help administer and create while supporting the finance team in ensuring donations are correctly batched and thanked.

Responsible for thanking supporters, processing donations, dealing with supporter requests, updating the fundraising database, fulfilling welcome and sponsorship packs, fulfilling gift and virtual gift orders there are many vital day to day functions in the position.

Ensuring that people enquiring about In-Mem and Legacy giving are dealt with compassionately is also important as well as being a positive and proactive member of the Mayhew Team.

Also dealing with complaints and enquires and directing them to colleagues as needed.

There will be opportunities to learn more about Individual Giving Fundraising in the role, supporting the Individual Giving Lead with the creation of fundraising appeals.


To be successful in this role, you need relevant experience in:

  • Organised and a self starter with a positive attitude with a knowledge of charity admin processes.
  • Enthusiasm for the wider cause and supporting colleagues in different departments
  • Desire to deliver excellent supporter care with kindness and warmth to our supporters. We are entirely dependent on the public for donations so very supporter is vital to Mayhew.
This is a full-time role requiring occasional travel within London.
