Learning Support Assistant

Job Type:
Full time, long term

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks)

Location:
Barnet, North London
We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join our growing team at Saracens High School.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting and guiding our young learners in achieving their aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support the learning and development of students.
Provide individual and group support to students with additional learning needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.
Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment that is conducive to students' growth and development.
Promote the wellbeing of students by providing pastoral support and encouraging positive behaviour.
Attend and participate in training, staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required.

Requirements:

Experience of working with young people, preferably within an educational setting.
Passionate about working with young people and supporting their development.
A knowledge of the local area or similar area is desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A desire to pursue a career in education, with an interest in special educational needs and disabilities.
