What is the Role?
As a Site Supervisor you will be working as part of our in-house construction team delivering capital projects replacing electrical assets from 11kV - 132kV in our substations throughout the south of England.
- Coordinate our work programme to ensure adequate resources are available and prepare Construction Phase Plans for our sites per the CDM requirements.
- Supervise site works, set staff to work and act as the main site contact.
- Review contractor and subcontractor RAMS as necessary.
- Ensure our staff, contractors and subcontractors are fully inducted on site, carry out tool box talks, and receive safety documents as necessary.
- Order minor materials for projects as and when required, including tracking orders and invoices and processing quotations from numerous suppliers, whilst ensuring our sites have adequate welfare provisions available and plan and order welfare as required.
What do I need?
Experience in working in operational electricity substation environments from 11kV - 132kV. Good working knowledge of the Construction and Design Management (CDM) Regulations especially in representing the Principal Contractor.
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Formal qualifications such as IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS, First aid at work, EUSR.
- Experience of supervising a working party in a live electricity substation environment.
- Knowledge and experience in CDM and COSHH Regulations.
- Formal qualification in electrical engineering.
- Experience in coordinating site teams and proactively supervising site works to ensure excellent standards in Health, Safety and Quality.
