We are looking for safety conscious Airside Safety and Training Assistant to be part of the Airfields Operations Team at Cardiff Airport The role will report to the Airfield Operations Manager and will be responsible for a variety of airside safety specific tasks and administrative duties, including, but not limited to, assisting with the processing, investigation, actioning and administration of all airside safety reports; supporting the Airside Safety and Training Supervisor (ASTS), with the creation and distribution/delivery of airside safety briefings and notices; reviewing, maintaining and assisting with the development of airside Risk Assessments.


Other duties will include supporting the Airside Safety and Training Supervisor in delivering various airside specific training courses, assisting with the day-to-day management and oversight of the CWL vehicle fleet, both for vehicle leasing and the oversight and approval of vehicle maintenance.

The role will also include assisting the Airfield Operations Team with Bird Control and Monitoring within a 13k radius of Cardiff Airport to comply with Civil Aviation Publication (CAP) 772.

The postholder will also be required to act as the secretary, and where necessary plan and coordinate, internal and external airside/airfield operations related meetings.
