A leading accountancy brand are seeking a Tax professional for a key job based in Derby, with hybrid working, full study support for ATT / CTA, quick development opportunities and superb offices on offer.

The level of this role is very much open, dependenton your skills and experience, so salary will depend on those factors and both full time or part time hours can be accommodated.

To be considered, you must have proven tax experience gained from working in an accountancy firm. If you are ATT or CTA qualified, that would be beneficial, but is not essential.

A core grounding in personal tax would be most sought after, with corporationtax experience useful, but not as vital as personal tax.

The role will involve all aspects of personal tax compliance and ideally the review of returns, but that can be taught over time if you are less experienced.

Flexible hours, a blend of home and office and a shorter than average working week are all on offer. Full time hours are ideal, but part time could be considered too.

  • Sound personal tax compliance experience.
  • Experience in practice and/or inhouse
  • Experience of working on a personal tax compliance portfolio
  • Correspondence with HMRC

Day to day, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of personal tax returns for a portfolio of clients and building relationships with clients
  • Preparation of Forms P11D
  • Liaising with clients and HMRC
  • Assist clients with tax compliance and planning queries.
  • Dealing with issues relating to cash extraction planning including dividends and salary planning, property rental, pensions reliefs, Benefits in Kind, coding notices,
  • Capital Gains Tax, taxation of trusts and estates
  • Trust Register submissions and updates
  • Assisting managers with research on technical matters.
  • Supervising and mentoring more junior members of the team.
