Job Description - Assembly operative


Reports to:
Assembly Supervisor.


Job Overview:

You will be required to check, pack, mark, palletise and label to the desired Spec ready for shipping around the globe.

Attention to detail will be key in your role. You will be required to meet deadlines and be expected to supply well presented documentation ready for shipping. Assist the supervisor/team leader and report directly on a daily basis.


Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Always wear your uniform provided.
  • Work as part of the assembly team or on own when required, meeting quality standards in regular checks.
  • Responsible for keeping your work area clean and tidy in accordance with the company H&S policy.
  • Ensure all products that are produced and kept to a high standard.
  • Palletise product to meet criteria in accordance with your training to reduce damage during international shipping.
  • Meet daily and monthly deadlines set out by your supervisor/team leader.
  • Be aware of all documentation to be put on the pallets and make sure the correct documentation is on before shipping.
  • Pack hazardous goods in line with your training.
  • Wear PPE provided when handling hazardous goods.
  • Inform your supervisor of illness before your shift starts.
  • Be aware of chemicals in the area and use PPE provided.
  • Overtime is not compulsory, but you may be asked to work outside of your contracted hours to reach deadlines and targets.
  • Observe health & safety requirements as per the company's Health & Safety Policy.
  • Carry out any other tasks asked of you by management.

Qualifications / Experience:


  • Previous production and warehouse experience

Desirable ( training can be offered)

  • Forklift
  • First Aid

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 12 months


Salary:
£21,924.00 per year
