We are currently working with Encompass Southwest, an independent North Devon based charity that provides a range of advice, information and support services in communities across the South West England, with a strong focus on rural and remote settlements.

Funded by charitable grants and donations, Wis£rmoney is a partnership between the Navigate Charity, Mind in Somerset and Encompass SW.

The project operates across Devon and Somerset providing services for people who are experiencing poverty, hardship and financial exclusion.


We are now supporting Encompass SW to recruit a Debt and Energy Adviser who will work closely with complex clients who are often in crisis and who face multiple barriers to obtaining the advice and support they require.

Working with the financial inclusion team to provide predominately benefits and energy advice to clients presenting with high level needs.

You will be based from home and able to travel across North Devon.


We are looking for someone with practical experience of delivering benefits advice in a paid or voluntary capacity together with an understanding of the processes, procedures and ethics of the advice sector.

You will be a 'people person' able to build rapport with and be sensitive to the needs of the service user who are facing crisis and may have multiple and complex needs.

  • You will need to be able to travel to appointments across the districts of Mid Devon and North Devon.

£16,732.00 per year

Expected hours: 26 per week
