Summary

YASA is looking for highly motivated Production Operators to come and join the electrification revolution You'll be working in an automotive production environment building electric motors to meet customer volumes.

You will be responsible for following work instructions carefully and diligently to complete complex assembly processes whilst ensuring that a high standard of quality is maintained.

Precision assembly of motors including: wiring, winding, and bonding.
Brazing processes to create fretwork assemblies.
Assembly of coil windings into stator subassemblies.
Measuring, cleaning, and adhesive bonding of components.
Resin impregnation of components.
The use of assembly jigs, fixtures and tooling.
Fabrication of simple mechanical/electrical parts including looms, connectors, crimping, etc.
Allocation of materials and tracking of part usage using manual and semiautomated traceability systems.
Completion of inhouse quality documentation such as build records.
Identify and feedback to Design Team potential design improvements.
Conducting basic electrical tests.
Running plasma cleaning and adhesive dispensing robots.
Building subassemblies into finished motors.
Support engineering prototype build as required.

To succeed in this role, we believe you'll need:

Experience working in a full-scale manufacturing environment (ideally automotive) working in mechanical / electrical production assembly.
Experience of setting up and operating production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
To be familiar with adhesives, wire and cable preparation, soldering, crimping.
Experience with using coil winding machines would be advantageous.
Consistent good attention to detail.
Flexibility and a cando attitude.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding of quality and the importance on end user.
To be a team player with the ability to work alone or as part of a small internal team.
The ability to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and meeting tight deadlines.
The ability to navigate Microsoft Windows and use programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
