Part Time 29.5 hours per week, Fixed Term until 31st March 2025.

We are looking for a Learning Officer with excellent organisational skills and a proven track record of working effectively, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, in a cultural or educational setting.

You will work closely with colleagues to plan, implement and evaluate the Learning programme, working proactively with teachers, schools and other learning professionals.

This will include developing new opportunities for engagement through digital platforms and ensuring that new technologies are used effectively.

You will be based at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery but will be expected to work at any of our museums or historic houses across the city and within schools.

Although your agreed working hours will be between Monday and Friday, you may be required to work the occasional evening or at a weekend.

Our award-winning museum learning programme is one of the largest in the South West, providing a comprehensive range of facilitated and self-directed learning activities suitable for all ages from Early Years to adult learners.

Our museums and historic houses are visited by over 1 million people annually, including 50,000 children and young people in formal education.

The core learning programme is a traded service and is aligned with the National Curriculum KS1-4, with a focus on History, Art, Literacy and Science.

It is created in collaboration with teachers, external partners and colleagues across Bristol, in order to deliver an outstanding, inclusive and audience-focused cultural learning offer for children and young people.

Bristol Culture and all its personnel are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
