Exciting Opportunity for a Senior Buyer


Are you a dynamic and strategic thinker, with a passion for procurement? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and excel at building strong supplier relationships? We are seeking a Senior Buyer to join our braking systems team.

This position will allow you to work in a strong collaborative team, driving excellence. As well as see you acquiring integral commodities for vehicles across JLR, The House of Brands.

As we continue our journey to progress with the reimagine strategy and offering electrified vehicles.

This is a great opportunity for an individual to lead and be responsible for building strong working relationships, influence and negotiate with our stakeholders.


Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Identify Make vs Buy opportunities, supporting to develop business justifications when required
  • Lead the development of the supplier relationships globally for your designated commodities.
  • Lead negotiations with external suppliers for both current and future products.
  • Ensuring supplier performance meet the JLR Quality, Cost, Delivery, Innovation and Sustainability requirements.
  • Participate in Global functional improvement projects, process improvements and activities as required.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Essential:

  • Strong Influencing & Negotiation skills.
  • Capability to create high quality longterm purchasing strategies.
  • A strong communicator with the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders to influence crossfunctional engagement.
  • An effective team player, actively develops and supports team members. MCIPS qualification/ equivalent. Or a proven track record in Direct Procurement.
