My Stamford based client is now looking to recruit a Trainee Accountant.

This is a great opportunity for someone to work in practice and have the support of the business to further their career.

Ideally you already be 1-2 years into your accountancy journey and still learning

This is a permanent full time position offering a salary of between £20,000 - £25,000 depending on the level of your qualification

Key Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for a portfolio of client of various size and in various industry sectors
  • Bookkeeping and compliance to Trial Balance
  • VAT returns
  • Payroll reconciliation
  • First stage accounts prep for Limited Companies
  • Personal Tax Returns
  • Management Accounts reporting

Key Skills:


  • Studying towards AAT with intention to continue to ACCA / CIMA
  • Strong communicator both written and verbal
  • Good IT and digital skills, particularly with cloud based accounting software
  • Experience of bookkeeping and financial controls
  • Team player
  • Ability to multitask
  • Deadline driven
