We are looking for a Band 6 Specialist Community Public Health Nurse for Infant Feeding to join our Bolton's 0-19/25 Public Health Nursing Service.
It is an exciting opportunity for a SCPHN Health Visitor with a passion for Infant Feeding, improving health outcomes and the Public Health Mandate.
This rewarding, varied role will continue to ensure that you work closely with children, parents, families and communities to reduce health inequalities.
We use Electronic Patient Records, which enhances our integrated working and service delivery.
This role is a full time, permanent position. You will be based in a variety of settings, including homes, Start well buildings and health centres. Working hours are Monday-Friday core hours range between 8:30 am -6 pm. As a service we reflect Bolton Foundation Trust flexible working policy and promote agile working
As the SCPHN Infant Feeding Specialist, you will support and contribute to the development of 0-19/25 services specialist infant feeding offer in line National, Local Policy.
Within your role, you will support relevant Baby Friendly projects and maintain standards for BFI. This will include supporting relevant audits pathways and reports.
There is an expectation that you will contribute to training of the 0-19/25 workforce and ensuring that they are adequately trained.
The will be a strong focus on the provision of clinical care within Infant Feeding.As a result, you will facilitate the specialist feeding service for mothers with challenging feeding issues whilst also supporting staff who support mothers with feeding difficulties.
You will be able to demonstrate that you are a credible, dynamic, flexible practitioner thorough sharing and delivery of evidence based practice.
The successful applicant will undertake relevant training to support them in the role.

As the expert Specialist Community Public Health Nurseon infant feeding, the person will provide support and organise training to ensure that all 0-19 staff are trained and skilled in supporting mothers in Bolton with feeding their baby.
The support will start in the antenatal period and continue in the community for as long as families seek support with feeding their babies.
The post holder will work closely with the Healthy Families Team in particular the infant feeding support workers and as we are a Baby Friendly Trust the post holder will work with and under the direction of the BFI leads in midwifery to support the maintenance of UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative (BFI) level 3.
