A great opportunity is now available for a
Dental Nurse with a competitive salary of £ £14.00 per hour, to join a private general dental practice in central Romford.

Offering a truly comprehensive service for all general and cosmetic dentistry.


The Role:


The role as a
Dental Nurse will keep all clinical areas and all equipment, instruments, clean, tidy, and sterile as appropriate.

You will adhere to the practices, health and safety and infection control procedures and manufacturer's instructions.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide chair side assistance, ensuring that the correct equipment is available.
  • Always ensure the care and welfare of patients in a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner
  • Accurately complete patient clinical records as directed.
  • Observe patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Handle all substances in accordance with Health and Safety policies.
  • Be familiar and comply with all Health and Safety rules and guidance, including PPE, COSHH, Mercury handling, infection control, waste disposal etc.
  • Complete laboratory request forms, keep records of work sent, received, and fitted.
  • Check each morning that the lab work required for the day is delivered.
  • Ensure adequate stocks of materials and other items within the surgery to ensure it running smoothly during each session.
  • Ensure computer/written records are accurately maintained and securely stored.
  • Liaise with reception to ensure smooth patient communications and transfer of records.
  • Attend refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPR.
  • Performing chaperoning duties for dentist when treating patients
  • Maintain and wear the practice uniform whilst at work in the practice and adopt a professional manner and appearance.

Skills, experience, and qualifications:


  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
  • Dental nursing: 1 year (preferred)


  • Licence/Certification

  • Valid GDC registration (preferred)
