Job description - Operations Co-ordinator Luton

12 month secondment - Start date April 2024

Job Purpose:

To actively participate in the daily running of the operation at Luton. Providing catering for private aviation and hotel restaurant service, under the supervision of the Head Chef.

You should be an organized professional with the ability to manage your own workload prioritizing tasks to achieve completion of the job.

You must have good verbal and written communication skills with an attention to detail.

The role is very varied so you will be required to be flexible to requests to support the operational requirements and the wider team.


Hours:

A mix of early and late shifts on a 6 on 3 off shift pattern, 06:00 - 14:00 And 14:00 - 22:00


Responsible to:

Operations Manager and Senior Ops Manager


Duties & Responsibilities:

Answer all telephone calls swiftly, courteously and efficiently taking messages where required.
Input orders onto the system efficiently.
Allocate each job to the delivery drivers.
Assist with the packing and security screening of the orders.
Take delivery, sort and distribute incoming mail.

Respond to enquiries from clients and FBO's in an efficient and polite manner offering the highest standard of Customer Service.

Support the maintenance of office filing, manuals and shared file storage systems.
Greet visitors to the unit ensuring the correct visitor documentation is completed.
Update and maintain contact list for both employees, clients, suppliers and emergency contractors.
Monitor and maintain office supplies.
Ensure all office equipment is properly maintained.
Fax, scan, copy and type any documents reports and correspondence as required.

Perform any work related errands as requested to support the Luton Office such as shopping for products required for client orders.

Assist with coordinating meetings, appointments, travel, and events on an ad-hoc basis.
Keep the office area clean and tidy.


Education & Experience:

Proven experience in either a aviation based role or food and beverage environment is a plus, but not mandatory.

Competent in computer skills including MS Office
Numeracy and literacy skills.
Experience in a sales or customer service environment would be desirable but is not essential.
A qualification in business skills would be advantageous.
You must hold a full UK driving license.

Must be able to provide a full 5 year referencing history for security and vetting purposes.

£23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
