Responsible for the training and Development needs of employees across Sterile Services Responsible to Head of Department and Deputy Managers, for the day-to-day supervision, efficiency and leadership of the department.
To ensure a high-quality service from Sterile Services and Endoscopy ensuring compliance with statutory legislation and external guidance and supporting delivery of Trust objectives.
To track the training needs of all staff and schedule all training needed.Interview Date: 1 August 202- 37 hours 30 minutes/week
To liaise with manufacturers to organise site visits to train staff in decontamination procedures as needed
Ensure the correct service is provided in keeping with corporate governance procedures

- Responsible for the training and Development needs of employees across Sterile Services
- Responsible to Head of Department and Deputy Managers, for the daytoday supervision, efficiency and leadership of the department. To ensure a highquality service from Sterile Services and Endoscopy ensuring compliance with statutory legislation and external guidance and supporting delivery of Trust objectives.
- To track the training needs of all staff and schedule all training needed.
- To liaise with manufacturers to organise site visits to train staff in decontamination procedures as needed.
- To coordinate the training of band 2 staff in the internal training programme.
- To be trained to sign off staff on the internal training programme competencies and to then sign staff off as competent.
- To assist staff to identify training internal training opportunities appropriate to their role.
- To be up to date on internal training opportunities offered by the Trust. To be able to support and facilitate colleagues use of Trust IT systems e.g., allocate, Outlook and ESR.
- To provide specialist knowledge and training across the range of work procedures and to ensure the Trust meets all professional legislative requirements in delivering its service to high standards and maintain stock control.
- To observe all health and safety regulations including COSHH in accordance with the Trust's policy and departments quality standards and procedures.
- To participate in relevant health education programmes initiated within the Trust.
- Support the introduction and maintenance of quality systems and processes in the departments
- To be fully trained in Tdoc or any other IT system adopted by Sterile Services and to then train and support staff in the use of this system, as appropriate to their role.
