We're looking for an experienced
Finance Officer to join the HQ team in Southampton.

Sound Pop Academy allows young people to take part and perform in a contemporary, fresh singing group across the south coast.

The idea was born in October 2016 and our vision of being 'bold and different' has defined us. We are the south's leading singing group for young people aged 3-17. We run weekly sessions throughout the

year and pride ourselves on teaching young people about harmony singing, vocal technique and performance skills in a fun, creative, dynamic and engaging way.

Sound Pop Academy engages with thousands of people each year. From parents and children, to schools and venues, through academy sessions, workshops, small and large scale performances and more.

As Sound Pop Academy continues to expand, we're looking to recruit an experienced Finance Officer who can manage and administrate the day to day finances within the business.

Location:
Remote & Office (MAST Mayflower Studios, Southampton)


Pay:
£15 per hour

Hours: 10 hours per month, split across 2 days (day of the week worked to be agreed)

Duties

• Record financial transactions on computer systems
• To be responsible for the administration of the monthly payroll
• Month and year end procedures
• Record company expenses
• Raise and manage invoices
• Support with VAT payments
• Maintain financial files and spreadsheet records
• Resolve payment questions for external contractors
• Carry out financial audits
• Creating new processes to support the finance operation
• Manage business cashflow
• Perform other related duties as required
• Work to deadlines when required
