Responsibilities:

Assist in planning and delivering engaging and ageappropriate activities to promote learning and development in young children
Support the class teacher in creating a safe and welcoming learning environment for the children
Provide onetoone support to children with additional needs or learning difficulties, as directed by the class teacher
Help to maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, and contribute to reports and assessments
Build positive relationships with parents and carers, and communicate effectively with them about their child's progress and development
Undertake other duties as required by the class teacher or senior leadership team

Requirements:

A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education is essential
Experience working with young children in a nursery or school setting is highly desirable
A strong understanding of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
A proactive and positive approach to work, with a willingness to take on a range of tasks as required
A commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of children, and a willingness to undergo relevant safeguarding training
