Summary:


We are looking for an engaging and passionate individual to join our amazing team in Newport on a part-time basis.

Riverview project is a 10-bed complex needs scheme for vulnerable people aged 18 + with multiple support needs. We provide accommodation and support to people with longer term mental health or substance misuse challenges.

What is great about the role?


At Riverview, the people we support have their own tenancy but require low level support in ensuring they maintain their tenancy.

The team specialise in working with complex needs and in working closely with other agencies to develop transition plans for each person to work towards independent living.

Every day is different and every day you would learn new skills and have the opportunity to work with a variety of agencies such as social services, health visitors and community nurses.

Day to Day Duties:


As a Scheme Support Officer your day will consist of:

  • Engaging with the people we support
  • Providing emotional support to the people we support
  • Carrying out welfare checks
  • Ensuring the building is secure and safe
  • Providing housing related support to ensure tenancies are maintained


Our aim is to ensure we equip the people we support with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently.

This is a challenging role and you will be faced with complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health, substance misuse and physical disabilities.

You will work with a range of different personalities and behaviours so you will need to be able to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse cliental.

Pobl benefits

  • Parttime (20hrs), Permanent
  • The salary based on these hours is: £11, £21,260.20 FTE)
  • Work Pattern: Monday-Friday, 4pm8pm only.
