We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced environment within our restaurant located in a gym facility.
As a Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences by skillfully preparing and serving fresh, made-to-order dishes.
With a focus on catering to the health-conscious needs of our gym clientele, you will craft our new menu that offers a range of nourishing dining options and convenient grab-and-go items.
Working alongside a dedicated kitchen team of four, you will contribute to the smooth operation of our culinary department. Your expertise in food preparation, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.R
esponsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of delicious and nutritious meals in accordance with established recipes and portion sizes.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation, consistently exceeding customer expectations.
- Collaborate closely with the kitchen team to streamline workflow, ensuring efficient and timely service during peak periods.
- Contribute to menu development, incorporating innovative and healthconscious dishes that align with the gym environment.
- Monitor inventory levels and of fresh ingredients and supplies.
- Covering Head chef when they are on annual leave
- Adhere to strict hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Ensure full area of responsibility is clean, appropriately presented and stocked at all times
- Ensure thorough and up to date knowledge and understanding of menu and special offers in order to provide relevant information to customers and clients
- Ensure that COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and any incidents are reported in line with procedures

- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, demonstrating proficiency in food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities, fostering a positive and collaborative kitchen environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends, and during holiday season, accommodating the needs of our gym clientele.
Working Pattern: 5 of 7 days, 40 hours per week
