Energy Trading Management Consultants - Award Winning Culture

Multi award-winning, tier one management consultancy with 800 employees seeks 8 x management consultants to join their Commodity Trading Advisory Practice, joining at Consultant, Senior Consultant, Manager or Senior Manager grade.

Consultant to Senior Manager Salaries:
£45-120k basic + bonus + benefits

Headquartered in the heart of Central London, you will ideally be able to get into their
London office on average 1-2 days per week, especially if you're joining at Consultant grade,
but my client offer a flexible working approach, so can accommodate consultants, managers etc based all over the UK.

They are a consultancy, so there is a need, when Covid regulations allow, to have some face-time with clients in the UK and Continental Europe but currently there is virtually no travel, either to clients in London or elsewhere though.

Established over 20 years ago, this consulting business has grown year on year, establishing a fantastic reputation of excellence and providing a brilliant, meritocratic culture / work place.

Boasting almost a 50/50 male to female ratio, a hugely multi-cultural and diverse work force, they truly embody a 21st Century best in class employer and consultancy.

This is reflected in the multiple awards that they have won over the past 10 years, including being voted the "
Best company to work for in the UK", "Top 50 employer for Women", as well as countless other
Energy Risk awards and specific
consultancy awards.

So you'll join a fantastic business that retains it's staff very well, empowers and promotes them on merit.

You'll join their industry leading Commodity Trading Consulting business which is broken into 2 separate practices

  • ENERGY/COMMODITY TRADING BUSINESS ADVISORY
Extending across all major commodities such as oil, gas, coal, base and precious metals, steel, softs, and raw materials.

Working with clients has evolved from the trading space to include strategic studies through to their most complex and risky delivery programmes.

They work with a broad range of clients including oil majors, commodity trading houses and brokers through to clients whose prime business is exploration and production.

Their current offerings are in the space of trading risk and controls, operational efficiency, gross margin enhancement, supply chain operations as well as business restructuring.

ENERGY TRADING TECHNOLOGY & REGULATORY ADVISORY

Focussing on advising, shaping and delivering key strategy, operational, commercial and asset optimisation decisions across the power generation, midstream and energy trading sectors.

They do this through their deep knowledge of the industry, their clients' businesses and the impact of market, technology and regulatory changes.

They bring together their existing market-leading trading capability with their extensive advisory and strategy experience across the power generation, interconnection, new technologies and the midstream parts of the energy value chain.

Their clients vary from major utilities, power generators and energy traders, to independent renewable energy and interconnector developers, as well as new investors in the industry.

Key skills sought:

  • Proven commercial experience gained working in the energy / commodity trading industry, either for another consultancy or from an industry "client" but looking to move into tier one management consulting
  • This could include experience working in project delivery orientated roles or working as a Risk Analyst, Trading Analyst, Business Change Manager, Business Analyst, Project Manager etc
  • Experience gained across any energy/commodity
  • Oil, Gas, Power, LNG, Emissions, Metals, Ags, Softs
  • Strong academics preferred, typically including a 2:1 (or above) from a leading UK or international university
