Job Title:
Plate Mounter/Pre-Press

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Plate Mounter in the Pre Press Department.

Main Purpose:

Ensure manufacturing receives pre-press items, such as plates and engraved sleeves, in a timely manner and in alignment with the production plan.

Main Duties:

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:

Prioritize health and safety at all times.
Actively participate in the Near Miss program, encouraging team members to identify and address any safety concerns.
Maintain a safe working environment and ensure equipment is fit for purpose

Plate Mounting and Production:

Operate machinery to produce items according to quality standards and customer specifications.
Manage workloads to minimize downtime on print machines.
Monitor quality consistently and take corrective action as needed.
Adjust machinery to maintain product quality.
Clean and store print sleeves appropriately.
Conduct required quality assurance (QA) testing and accurately record results.
Assist in general preventative maintenance, including essential daily and weekly cleaning.

Pre-Press Activities:

Job Specifications:

Good standard education (minimum 3 x GCSEs, Maths & English, or equivalent) with basic knowledge of health and safety.
Experience in a print environment is advantageous but not essential.
Experience in manufacturing, preferably in Plate Mounting/Pre-Press.
IT literate with experience in operating computeroperated machines.
Wellorganized and able to plan work to demanding deadlines.
Strong attention to detail with problemsolving skills.
Ability to work flexibly to suit the needs of the business.
Willingness to accommodate the working shift pattern, work overtime, and support other departments as needed.
