Our client is a successful small group accountancy practice, based in the East/South East of England. Due to their current growth plans, they are looking for a full-time General Practice Managerto support their senior team with accounting dutiesand wider client services.

About the role
This role would suit a diligent and experienced individual, looking for a senior client-facing role.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, the General Practice Managerwill be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients providing high-quality compliance servicesfor a range of private clients.

Key aspects of the role include:

Being accountable for the provision of accounting services, including corporate and personal tax returns, and special services for a portfolio of clients with annual fees of £150k;
Supervising and controlling the completion of audit assignments, including assessing internal controls, systems and planning;
Managing and liaising with a portfolio of clients, introducing new clients, developing relationships and identifying opportunities for additional services;
Reviewing VAT and company secretarial annual returns, other submitted Companies House forms, P11D and other payroll advice and serviceson behalf of clients including submitted FPS and EPS as required;
Reviewing work of staff, ensuring quality in compliance with professional standards and requirements, as well as delegating tasks effectively.

The ideal person
The position would suit an excellent communicator, keen to progress in their role.

The person should be motivated to manage a team and also work independently in a role with tight deadlines, and be able to produce high-quality and accurate work.
