The eCare (Electronic Patient Record) Programme will underpin everything we do for our patients, our people, and our communities, as well as creating a working environment renowned for excellence and innovation that enables our staff to deliver safe and compassionate care every day.

Key to the success of the EPR will be the engagement and involvement of service users and staff.

The Test Lead will assist the Test Manager with managing all testing activities within the eCare & Clinical Programme.

including documentation and escalation of test results, incidents and issues which arise during pre-implementation and 'go-live' periods of the eCare programme.


The Test Lead will assist the Test Manager with defining the test strategy and supporting testing processes for new solutions//upgrades.


The Test Lead will lead test teams and testers including business UAT testers and provide day to day management of the entry level Testers.

The Test Lead will be proactive with detailed testing and formal documentation of test results.

This post is a full time fixed term contract. You will be based onsite at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro.

Are you an experienced Tester?

Do you hold the ISTQB Foundation and ISTQB Specialist/Test Manager (or equivalent)?


The eCareTest Lead will assist with providing a service which ensures software solutions are fit for purpose at the point of delivery.


They will assist with managing all testing activities across two Programmes, including documentation and escalation of test results, incidents and issues which arise during pre-implementation and 'go-live' periods across the two Programmes (EPR & Clinical Programme).


The eCare Test Lead will provide day to day management of the Entry Level Testers across the two Programmes (eCare & Clinical Programme).


The ECare Test Lead will be responsible for assisting the Test Manager with the entirety of testing activities across the two Programmes (EPR & Clinical Programme); sharing knowledge and maintaining engagement with colleagues towards achievement within the key results areas.


They will assist in producing Test Strategies which meet the requirements of the 2 programmes and will help define and maintain a detailed test plan for the programme which will encapsulate all elements of testing including user acceptance.

Subsequently they will assist with developing the ongoing test plan strategy for new versions and upgrades.

KEY RESULT AREAS

The eCare Test Lead will:

To be responsible for day to day management of the Entry Level Testers and advising best testing practice.


To be responsible for supporting the testing of new projects and relevant changes to existing systems to ensure that all aspects of testing are covered.


Write and maintain detailed test scenarios and test cases, manually run test scripts, supporting defect and issue management, record and preserve test evidence using the local testing tool to cover testing.

To be responsible for the tracking and regular reporting against quality and testing issues from identification to resolution.


Testing all aspects of a wide range of projects and project stages, meeting deadlines/timescales with conflicting and competing workload pressures, using own initiative and highlighting where necessary any issues to the Test Manager.

Analyse and compare data stored in various clinical software business systems to validate accuracy of data migration or interfacing.


Analyse and explain business and technical requirements, in collaboration with system suppliers and system users, to ensure systems testing outputs meet agreed acceptance criteria.

Contributing/supporting system readiness reporting or go live acceptance/QA criteria and produce reports for the Project Managers e.g. progress, constraints, results, defects.
