We are looking for a Production Leader who both has the broad range of relevant skills that will help our business continue its vigorous growth and the ambition grow in the role to become our Factory Manager.

Based in Bingley we are a rapidly growing personal care company specialising in the formulation and manufacture of high quality, short run personal care products.

Our clients vary from niche cult beauty brands to both national and international personal care grooming labels.

This is a superb opportunity for an experienced supervisor looking for a challenging role, to utilise both technical and managerial skills to great effect with a progressive company.

To succeed in the role you will be a confident supervisor, with good people and influencing skills who is able to quickly gain credibility and trust.

An innovative problem solver is preferred who will be able to bring in new ideas and a fresh perspective to get the most out of our business.

Key to the role will be ability to maintain sound co-operative relationships with other departments.

This highly visible position will also carry responsibility for cost savings and lean manufacturing initiatives to maintain and further enhance the company's continuous improvement culture.

Key Responsibilities

Full accountability ensuring safety, productivity, efficiency and waste level targets are achieved.
Lead/assist with production process and scheduling for maximum production efficiency.
Manage quality standards of outgoing products/packaging, taking appropriate action where necessary
Ensure production floor is clean and safe for all staff members and that safety and production procedures are adhered to at all times.
Develop and implement production policies and procedures
Reporting of all goods in and out
Ensure all operators are maintaining output levels in line with targets and recording all major events e.g. downtime
Will collect and collate all summary KPI reports from operators at the end of the shift.
Maintain high standards adhering to Health and Safety procedures.
Conduct various elements in managing people to include RTW meetings, investigations, disciplinaries, training etc.

Essential Experience

Supervisory/management experience gained in similar role in a similar manufacturing environment.
Resilience and an ability to liaise with staff at all levels are essential.

Please Note - A productivity based bonus will allow the salary to increase to £40,000+.
