_Are you an experienced Production/Factory/Assembly/Quality/Warehouse Operative, looking for a new challenge?_


Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for Permanent
General Operatives,for a client located in
Newton Aycliffe.To ensure products and components meet the required quality and specification to delight customers.

This process should be carried out accurately and as efficiently as possible, while ensuringthe machines and working areas are maintained to the highest possible standards.

To also assist in the factory in a general role that will enable the business to deliver customer delight.


Quality Assurance General Operative Duties will include:

  • Consistently meet and ideally, exceed factory objectives of "PQCDDS" (productivity, quality, cost, delivery, delight, and safety)
  • Ensure that components are produced to the correct dimensions, with consistent and correct profiles and cut outs, correctly polished ends as per drawings and milled according to customer specification
  • Close inspection work and the ability to differentiate accurately between materials
  • Ensure that any defects or faults are identified, reported and remedial action is taken with minimum delay
  • That supplies of consumables are controlled to prevent stockouts. This includes liaising with the technical department to control machine tooling
  • That the work area is clean, tidy, and devoid of any hazards
  • Monitor tool wear to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality is maintained
  • To produce and edit programmes when necessary
  • Carry out monthly documentation audits in other parts of the factory as required (this will include, but not necessarily be confined to, SOP's, H&S documents, and QA documents)
  • To actively partake in all necessary training
  • To be proactive in training other members of staff when required, including cross training other staff, and inducting new staff
  • Play an active part in continuous improvement activities/project groups and communicate necessary changes to the rest of your department
  • To provide cover in various parts of the business when needed

Quality Assurance General Operative Applicants:


  • Have previous experience in a similar role i.e., Production, Assembly, Quality etc.
  • Be able to follow the requirements of Standard Operating Procedures and work with mínimal supervision
  • Be able to solve problems and make improvements to processes
**This role offers various shifts, depending on which part of the business you are employed in


Hours are either:
7.30am until 4pm, 8.30am until 5pm, 6am until 2pm and 2pm until 10pm. Overtime may be offered.
