Applications are invited for two posts Consultant Posts in General Paediatrics and Child Protection based at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow that forms part of the Women and Children's Directorate.

In addition to its many national and regional specialist tertiary services, the Directorate also supports an extensive array of community child health services.

RHC, Glasgow, is the largest paediatric teaching hospital in Scotland and is a world leader in the provision of child and adolescent health services.

It provides care, not only for children resident within Greater Glasgow, but is also a tertiary referral centre for children from the West of Scotland and, in some sub-specialties, from the whole of Scotland and wider.

All newly qualified Consultants are initially offered a minimum of 1 Core Supporting Professional Activity (SPA) which includes CPD, audit, clinical governance, appraisal, revalidation, job planning and management meetings.

This will be reviewed within 6 months (or earlier if required) of appointment and revised upwards if additional responsibilities are agreed.
