Salary:
£23,000 Per Annum


Contract:
Full-time, 37.5 Hours per week


Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm


Desirable:
Full Driving Licence and access to a vehicle


The Team


As a member of the Specialist Employment Team, you will improve life opportunities for individuals with neurodiverse conditions, supporting individuals who are in paid employment to overcome workplace barriers and sustain employment long term.

You will predominately be supporting individuals already in paid employment that require support to sustain employment long term.

You will work from our offices, as well as travel to meet individuals in their workplaces, you will also provide support to individuals across the UK via video call.


The role will involve


Developing individual workplace development plans, identifying barriers, assisting with overcoming these barriers, and utilising knowledge of local resources and networks to provide appropriate support.

You will be working with the employer and Hr teams to create supportive workplaces ongoing.

Enabling individuals to grow in confidence, ability, and personal effectiveness, you will deliver a range of interventions to support progression in the following areas:


  • Selforganisation, motivation, and coping abilities.
  • Employability skills and workplace strategies
  • Increasing confidence and communication skills with the aim of supporting progression.
  • Coaching and mentoring to support sustainable employment
This would be achieved through person-centred support, practical assistance, teaching, advice, role modelling, encouragement, and positive feedback.

You will be involved in facilitating awareness for employers, one to one support to individuals as well as supporting employers to build awareness ongoing to individual needs.


You will succeed because

  • You are experienced in supporting individuals with additional needs e.g., autism, mental health, and Learning Disabilities, ideally in a similar role. You're proactive, selfmotivated, and resilient.
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and are experienced in communicating outcomes.
  • You are skilled in working with people at all levels, including individuals, professionals, and parents/carers.
  • You will support individuals in the workplace as a job coach where necessary, provide advocacy, and work effectively with employers.
