Gower Roofing Ltd is a family run business based on the Gower, Swansea. With over 30 years experience in the Roofing and Project Management trade, the company is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced
Roofing Labourer to come on board for this exciting journey.
Applicants should be well presented and have experience in labouring, specifically in the roofing trade and be
willing to learn and
adapt when working with others. This position will involve using a range of different materials, such as slates, tiles or materials for flat roofs, as well as fitting skylights.
£80 per day depending on experience.
They would be considered as a
self employed subcontractor and would need to be registered for the CIS scheme with the potential of joining the company on a full time contracted basis after an initial trial probationary period.
Although based in South Wales, Gower Roofing has expanded and is now covering contracts over the whole of the UK so applicants should be
willing to travel and work away from home from time to time (accommodation will be provided should it be needed).
Working hours will be between
7am-6pm (based on an 8 hour day) Monday to Friday with odd weekends however this can differ depending on the project.
If work is rained off, applicants would be expected to work weekends to make up for days lost due to poor weather conditions.
Applicants should have a basic knowledge of all site
health and safety procedures,
specifically working at height and be willing to
follow HSE guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Assist in fitting materials to ensure the roof is fully weatherproof
- Working to building regulations
- Working safely at heights
- Fetch and carry as directed to do so by the roofing contractor
