    Job Description:

    Join Look Ahead as a Specialist Behavioural Support Worker and make a difference in the lives of our customers.

    We are looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient individual to join our Straford Road service in Newham. As a Specialist Behavioural Support Worker, you will work closely with our customers to support them in developing their daily living skills, building and maintaining relationships, and exploring new activities.

    Your key responsibilities will include:

    • Observing and monitoring customer behaviours, identifying factors that may alleviate or trigger the behaviour,
        and planning appropriate interventions to modify and resolve the behaviour.

    • Implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies as detailed in customer support plans,
        and communicating effectively with parents and care managers regarding customer progress.

    • Maintaining accurate records of customer data, including behavioural information,
        and participating in team meetings to review and develop the service.

    • Delivering all aspects of support to enable customers to develop independent living skills,
        including personal and physical care as required, and enabling customers to access community facilities.

    You will also be responsible for reporting any observations relating to customer welfare, adhering to Look Ahead policies and procedures, and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

    As a Specialist Behavioural Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our customers to understand their needs and preferences, and to develop and implement tailored support plans to meet those needs.
