WDE Consulting Ltd are a Geo-Environmental Consultancy based in Tring, Hertfordshire and have for the past 20 years worked primarily for clients looking to buy, sell or redevelop land.
We are looking for a Geo-Environmental Consultant with a minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience, who are looking to progress within the industry.
You will need to be familiar with supervising site investigations, undertaking soil logging and groundwatersampling, as well as the preparation of Phase 1 and 2 Reports.
It would be advantageous if you also have experience in the verification of Remedial Works and Project Management.Key responsibilities
- Undertake field investigations to determine the ground conditions with respect to contamination, foundations and drainage.
- Logging of soils and rocks to British Standards
- Soil, groundwater and ground gas monitoring and sampling
- Collate and analyse data within context of current legislation and guidelines
- Preparation Reports
- Management of subcontractors
- Client liaison
Key Skills
- BSc in Geology, Environmental Sciences or another Earth based science degree
- Ability to be hands on, flexible and problem solve
- Competent understanding and ability to use standard IT programs and more complex GIS
