Their Head Office is based in the heart of the Lake District in Windermere making it undoubtably one of the most stunning Head Office locations in the country in recently refurbished state of the art offices.

The business has been on a fantastic journey inrecent years and as such is looking to bolster its Finance team with the recruitment of a Finance Manager.

Reporting into the Head of Commercial Finance, the role will be responsible for the production of accurate and timely management accounts, taking a leading role in Lakeland's Budgeting and Forecasting processes and continually seeking to improve efficienciesand controls.

Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver accurate and timely management accounts, ensuring they represent an accurate view of the financial performance of the business.
  • Improve controls and reporting accuracy by implementing a structured and accurate balance sheet review process.
  • Production of the monthly board pack and communication to the business.
  • Take a leading role in the Budgeting and Forecasting processes.
  • Provide budget holders with support & direction, challenging numbers & variances against budget.
  • Compile and report channel P&L's, collaborating with the Commercial Finance Manager to understand the drivers in margin performance.
  • Develop and support members of the team.
  • Lead the monthend process, continually looking for ways to improve efficiency and accuracy of monthend reporting.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

  • A qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with prior experience in industry.
  • Either an experienced line manager or someone ready to develop management skills in a management role.
  • Experience leading the month end process & producing management accounts.
  • Experience of building relationships with senior stakeholders, becoming a valued and respected business partner and colleague.
