About the role

The Strategic Sourcing Manager/Global Procurement and Sourcing Lead is responsible for ensuring a professional sourcing and supplier management approach is applied across a range of key category areas within Ocado.

The role incumbent will also be expected to act as a deputy for the Head of Procurement and to be a clear leader within the Procurement Leadership Team.

There is an expectation and need to be able to travel internationally as part of this role.

Ocado Procurement is on a journey to become a best in class function and this role will be fundamental in driving and leading aspects of the change required.

About you

Experienced member of Procurement Leadership Teams
Understanding of Procurement department strategies and what ' best in class' Procurement looks like
Has been part of leading a Procurement change
Experience in leading teams including the development, building and management of teams in a project delivery and procurement environment
Expert in strategic sourcing development and management
Experience of sourcing and procuring within an innovative Engineering environment
Has worked effectively in dynamic, teamoriented and fastpaced environments
Used to communicating at senior levels within own organisation and within suppliers
Used to working across a range of stakeholders utilising different styles and approaches
High level of computer literacy with Microsoft Office, Google Docs and MRP software
International supplier negotiation and management experience
