Description
We have a new opening at our sister company, Bolted Frame Company (BFC) in Magor. This is an excellent opportunity to join the team as a Procurement Administrator and help streamline all operational processes. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, making necessary purchases, and assisting with various administrative tasks.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and collaborate with management to ensure clear priorities are established and effectively acted upon.
  • Work with supervisors to review, verify and file electronic timesheets for workshop employees and subcontractors, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure that all BFCrelated documentation is promptly updated and filed securely to facilitate easy accessibility.
  • Work with production supervisors to obtain quotes and approve all maintenance issues for BFC equipment, including cranes, sawing and extraction units, and place purchase orders once agreed.
  • Obtain quotes for the procurement of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for BFC personnel and place purchase orders once costs are agreed upon.
  • Liaise with supervisors to identify the relevant training courses that are aligned with the training matrix, raise purchase orders and schedule training sessions.
  • Manage the processing of timesheets, ensuring all relevant information is accurate and captured accordingly.
  • Work with suppliers to negotiate pricing, obtain quotes for inpanel fasteners (including Tek screws), Unistrut, and other components required for LGSF and HR Met's projects, create purchase orders, and agree delivery schedules with suppliers.
  • Issue fabrication packages for LGSF projects (shop, site, stairs and podiums), obtain quotes for supplies and raise purchase orders upon agreement with line managers.
  • Work with CMF personnel to ensure that all value orders (VO's) and nonconformance reports (NCRs) are tracked and delivered within the agreed timescales
  • Liaise with Couriers/Transport companies about collections and deliveries.
  • Cover for transport planners during annual leave, ensuring required alterations or changes to panel loads, decking, purlins, and other transport arrangements are effectively relayed to WS Transport.
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time

Required Qualifications/Skills:


  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Experience in procurement, administration, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Good working knowledge of an ERP system (preferably Sage)
  • Strong communication skills (written and spoken) with the ability to build excellent working relationships.
  • Strong organisational & time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines in a calm and controlled manner
  • Resilient, persistent and enthusiastic; an individual able to deliver results to agreed time targets, capable of dealing with changing priorities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamic work environment.
  • Prior experience in the construction industry is an added advantage.
