We're looking for an enthusiastic, driven individual to join our fast-paced creative marketing team and be part of that journey.


Our search is for an experienced and highly motivated Lead Creative Copywriter with a proven track record of high-quality creative copy and content.

You'll work in-house as part of our marketing team, leading the copy and content creation for a variety of marketing and communication activity for our full portfolio of brands.


The Leger Shearings Group's ever-growing portfolio of European and worldwide holiday experiences offers something for everyone, from escorted holidays by coach, river or rail to specialist tours and holidays focusing on interests such as battlefields, motorsports, hobbies and crafts.

The ability to adapt your writing style to create engaging and effective copy tailored to a range of target audiences is imperative.


You'll have a high level of expertise to deliver impressive creative copy that sells, and will be able to hit the ground running.

Ability to communicate effectively is a must.


This role is full-time office based in Rotherham. Hybrid and/or remote working is not suitable for this role.

Key Skills/Experience

  • A
    minimum of three years' experience in copywriting.
  • Copywriting skills/qualifications.
  • Strong English, research and analytical skills.
  • A creative approach to ideas and communication.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to produce accurate and engaging, consistent highquality creative copy.
  • Ability to effectively use AI technology to support in copy creation to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • A good knowledge of SEO best practices and techniques.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and manage own workload with a flexible, proactive approach.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to ensure effective communication with a wide range of contacts, both internal and external.
  • Excellent teamworking skills with the ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with colleagues.
  • Experience of working with content management systems.
  • A good standard of IT skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines, while consistently working to a high standard and remaining enthusiastic and willing to learn.
  • Effective time management to ensure quality work is delivered in line with project deadlines.
  • Experience of digital marketing beneficial.
  • Ability to think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts in line with our target audience.
  • Excellent communication skills the ability to articulate ideas clearly and liaise with other members of the team.
  • Ability to delegate and motivate.
  • Organised, methodical, and takes pride in seeing work done to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

The creation of creative copy and content for all marketing material and assets for the Leger Shearings Group brands.

  • Updating and enhancing websites through use of a CMS, noting SEO considerations.
  • Using AI technology effectively to optimise the copywriting process, ensuring consistency and accuracy throughout.
  • Working both independently and as part of a team on a wide range of projects.
  • Lead the creative process on all copy/content projects, managing ideas from concept to execution.
  • Motivate and engage others in the copywriting team during the process.
  • Create innovative and engaging copy.
  • Ensure the presentation of a strong and consistent tone of voice for each brand across all marketing activity.
  • Monitor artwork quality, accuracy and consistency.
  • Complete all projects to a high standard and within the timeline.

You may have experience of the following:


Ideal but not essential:


  • Basic Adobe Photoshop skills.
  • A basic working knowledge of Adobe InDesign.
