WHAT TO EXPECT

Working full-time from our Dumfries office, you will be reporting directly to the Quality Manager.


You will fulfil the requirements of the Supplier Management System; including supplier monitoring, 2nd party audits, corrective action, PPAP approval, material re-validation and supplier development.


Key responsibilities (to name a few):

  • Responsible for the organisation, planning and improvement of the layered process and finished product audit systems to maximise their effectiveness in supporting Quality Excellence and Strategic Plans.
  • Maintain the Tooling Management System.
  • Carry out Laboratory duties in support of the Quality department business plan.
  • Complete Internal System Audits
  • Collaborate with Quality Control Engineer to ensure effective operation of the calibration / measurement systems for the plant.
  • Support the overall Quality Management System and associated processes.

ABOUT YOU

  • Relevant professional qualification e.g. IQA / HNC/D.
  • Experience of quality and or manufacturing process environment with an understanding of Quality Core Tools and principles.
  • Experience, knowledge and good understanding of IATF 16949 / 9001 standard and requirements and the ability to carry out audits.
  • Good analytical ability and experience in automotive or related industry.
  • Must possess good organisational, people and time management skills to ensure optimum efficiency of the quality system and quality functions.
  • Knowledge of PC packages and information systems (windows, databases).
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Must be legally authorised to work in the UK without company sponsorship, i.e. Right to work in the UK with indefinite leave to remain.
