We are a rapidly expanding, independent, general haulage company operating throughout the UK.

Optimum Transport Ltd provides same day, next-day or scheduled delivery services for general freight, as well as comprehensive logistics solutions, including the operation of customer-liveried vehicles.

Role

Optimum Transport Ltd are looking for an enthusiastic & conscientious full time HGV Class 1 Day TRAMPERS for our Derbyshire based operation.

Additional hours/shifts will be available if required.

Key Responsibilities:

Represent Optimum Transport in a professional manner at all times
General haulage deliveries
Adhering to all Tachograph, Driver and Road Regulations
Ensuring vehicle is cleaned appropriately, and maintained in line with Company policy
Completion of all legal and customer relevant paperwork
Observe Company procedures and policies at all times
Ensure the correct equipment and PPE, (personal protective equipment) is in good order and used at all times
Ensure all delivery and on road issues are reported to the traffic office immediately
Undertake all daily checks, ensuring defects are immediately reported and correct paperwork completed

Essential Criteria

A valid clean HGV Class 1 licence (minor points considered)
A digital tachograph card and full CPC
Tramping experience
Minimum 2 years' experience driving Class 1, newly qualified drivers/ lesser experienced drivers will be considered, however conditions will apply
Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative
Good geographical knowledge
Excellent customer service
