Description
Looking for something new & exciting in the NHS? Ever considered Prison healthcare?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Critical Time Intervention Practitioner to join the Offender Health Directorate working at HMP Fosse Way.

HMP Fosse Way is set to open in mid-2023 and is a Category C Resettlement Prison.

HMP Fosse Way will house 1,715 prisoners and focus on the rehabilitation of offenders and their reintegration back into society.

It consists of 7 House blocks across 4 floors.

There is a dedicated healthcare suite located in the main building with also additional multi use rooms across the establishment including rooms for groups or 1-2-1's.

This role will provide intensive support for men at the point of, and for time-limited period after, release.

Service users will have been in contact either the mental health or dual diagnosis (substance misuse) teams at the prison.

The service will support those engaging with at least one of the healthcare pathways within the prison (ie mental health, substance misuse and physical health) and have a complex healthcare need which creates barriers in integrating into the community successfully and causes lack of engagement with healthcare services within the community.

Interventions are based on the principles of a Critical Time Intervention approach.
