Pay Range:
Local Government Scale 3 (Point 5- 6)


Actual Salary From:
£14,293 - £14,532 per annum


Hours/Weeks: 26.25 hours (26 hours & 15 minutes), 39 working weeks

The Role


We are seeking an outstanding individual with experience of working with KS1 children to complement the professional work of teachers.

You will be supporting learning in the classroom by working with individual children and small groups, under the direction of the class teacher.

We are hoping to recruit an experienced LSA who understands the KS1 curriculum and how learning is best facilitated and built upon.


We are a school who believes that every interaction counts and an understanding of ' trauma perceptive practice' will be advantageous.


Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • To work alongside the class teacher to deliver learning to support the highest academic achievement of all learners. This will be through focused learning, as directed by the class teacher.
  • To support pupils within the class alongside the class teacher and SENCo who may have an additional learning, emotional or behavioural need.
  • To support the needs of pupils by assisting the teacher with preparation of lessons and assessment.
  • Commitment to working with the staff team to ensure the highest levels of safeguarding are upheld at all times.
  • Working alongside all staff to deliver the schools improvement priorities.
  • To build and maintain positive and constructive working relationships with pupils, families, multiagencies, professionals and colleagues, to maximise pupils' development and maintain the overall ethos and vision of the school.

We're looking for you if you have:

  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above.
  • Experience of working with KS1 children in a school.
  • Ability to interact positively with pupils, parents and colleagues.
  • Ability to supervise and organise pupils.
